DCDSB announces the resignation of Trustee for the Townships of Uxbridge, Scugog and Brock

At a Special Board Meeting on Monday, August 17, 2020, Janice Oldman, Chair of the Durham Catholic District School Board, announced the resignation of Kathleen LeFort, Trustee for the Townships of Uxbridge, Scugog and Brock.

Since assuming the role of Trustee over 30 years ago, Kathleen held the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair, along with strong representation on numerous committees.

“I have been blessed to serve the DCDSB community with Kathleen over the years. She has admirably advocated for Catholic education, working diligently and with the highest integrity in understanding and addressing the needs of our students, families and communities with profound impact and contribution,” said Janice Oldman, Chair of the Board.

“Thank you to Kathleen for the significant contributions she has made as a long-standing trustee for the Durham Catholic District School Board. Her experience, knowledge and thoughtful questions made a tremendous impact for our system in guiding decisions that were made with the best interest of student well-being and achievement in mind. We are grateful for her service and wish her health, happiness and God’s blessings in this next chapter of her life,” said Tracy Barill, Director of Education.
