Celebrating 50 Years of Catholic Education at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School

On Thursday, January 28, past and present members of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School community in Oshawa will gather to celebrate 50 years of Catholic education. The milestone anniversary begins with Mass at 1:00 p.m. 

Members of the Durham Catholic District School Board and the St. Thomas Aquinas school community will join Most Reverend Bishop Nguyen at Assomption de La Notre Dame in celebration of this golden anniversary.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m. 

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School opened its doors to approximately 180 students from Kindergarten to Grade seven.  The school was blessed in December 1965 by Monsignor Paul Dwyer.  By 1968, enrolment had grown to 274 students in Kindergarten through to Grade eight. Since September 1987, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School has hosted the French Immersion Program.
