Drew Hayden Taylor joined Grade 11 English students enrolled in Understanding Contemporary First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Voice at Archbishop Denis O’Connor Catholic High School, St. Mary Catholic Secondary School and Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School this week. Mr. Hayden Taylor is an Indigenous playwright, author, columnist, film maker and lecturer who is originally from Curve Lake First Nations in Central Ontario.
Mr. Hayden Taylor talked about his path to becoming an author and playwright, and about Indigenous authors and the changing landscape of Indigenous literature. Students also engaged in a Q&A with Mr. Hayden Taylor.
