Students in Grade 1 and 2 at St. Wilfrid Catholic School read the book "Be a Good Ancestor" and discussed how their actions affect nature and what type of earth they want to leave for the future.
The classes also discussed Nibi's call to action in Nibi's Waters Song and talked about ways they can protect and care for the earth. Students then chose a space on our land that they appreciate/connect with and made a promise to protect it.
They will revisit this activity each season as each season will bring new things to appreciate.
