kindergarten stemThrough a collaboration with Academic Services, Monsignor Phillip Coffey Catholic School Kindergarten classes now have new STEM centres, which are vibrant hubs of exploration and discovery. Students were guided through hands-on activities, fostering an environment of analysis and synthesis. enhancing mathNow that semester two is well underway in our secondary schools, DCDSB’s Transition Intervention Support Teachers have had a chance to reflect upon their first semester working in local high schools. At Archbishop Denis O’Connor Catholic High School they had great success in delivering and assessing the culminating tasks in Grade 9 Math classes.

Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) students can now simultaneously earn a high school credit and a first-year plumbing college credit through a unique Dual Credit program. Through a partnership between DCDSB and Durham College, students at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School in Ajax are able to enroll in a Construction Technology class where they will also be taught the Trade Fundamental Basic Plumbing course, which is part of Durham College’s one-year Trade...
