News Item Photos (2)On Thursday, June 6, Indigenous community partner, Beedahbin Peltier, visited students at All Saints Catholic Secondary School. Beedahbin led the students in on the land learning in the forested area next to their school. Students saw phragmites and buck thorn and learned that they are invasive plants that were brought over from Europe. Beedahbin also explained the importance of environmental systems and how they are reliant on each other.

lil fire chief On June 6, Oshawa Fire Services announced their 2024 Junior Fire Chief at Sir Albert Love Catholic School! Grade 5 and 6 students submitted videos on smoke alarms and home escape planning. Gabriel, a Grade 6 student, earned the title of 2024 Junior Fire Chief! At a special assembly, Gabriel was award fantastic prizes and even got to leave in a firetruck for an exclusive tour of the Oshawa Fire headquarters!
