About Kayode
Kayode Akomolafe (LLB, BL.), a seasoned legal professional with over 29 years of experience has a rich background in various areas of law, including land law, criminal law, family law, probate and matrimonial law, as well as company and commercial law. Kayode represented clients in all courts of record up to the Supreme Court of Nigeria and provided expert legal counsel that contributed to transforming start-ups into multi-million-dollar enterprises.
Kayode relocated to Canada and diversified his expertise by working at the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission as a Systemic Specialist. In this role, he spearheaded initiatives aimed at enhancing employment equity and conducted research on the impact of police street checks on marginalized communities in Saskatchewan.
In his role as the Human Rights and Equity Advisor, through policy development, training programs, and overseeing initiatives to address racism and systemic barriers in education, Kayode plays a pivotal role in promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within the board and the broader community.
A talented photographer, poet, public speaker, and community-builder, Kayode values spending time with his family and finds fulfilment helping people become the best version of themselves. He relishes time on the beach, watching the waves and enjoying tasty delicacies.
