The 2020-2021 Director’s Annual Report highlights the achievement of our students, staff, and school communities during our Year of Love. This report captures the unprecedent time in Ontario’s education system, as school boards across the province pivoted from in-person learning to remote and virtual learning during a world-wide pandemic.
At the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB), our students, staff, and school communities embraced our spiritual theme of love and shared positive messages of hope throughout the school year. School communities exhibited our Catholic values by making face shields with schools’ 3D printers for donation to local hospitals and organizations. They work diligently to find innovative ways to support the mental health, well-being, and faith formation of our students and families, purchased and distributed technology to keep people connected, participated in food drives and fundraising for charitable organizations to help families.
We are extremely grateful to our staff for their perseverance, dedication, and many hours of work in providing equitable access and support for continued student learning throughout the many changes and disruptions.
During the most difficult of times, it was the love for families and one another that has sustained us. Thank you for your commitment to Catholic education.
