Arts education allows students to engage in the creative and the critical analysis process as they learn through dance, drama, media arts, music and visual arts. These rich experiences in the arts play a valuable role in helping your child to achieve his/her God given potential. Art education allows students to develop their creativity, self-awareness, self-confidence and well- being, while discovering their own identity.
For students in Kindergarten to Grade 8, the elementary arts curriculum focuses on the development of knowledge and skills in dance, drama, music and visual arts.
For students in Grades 9 to 12, the secondary arts curriculum provides students with a variety of options. At the secondary level, students must take at least one Art credit in either Drama, Music (vocal or instrumental), Visual Arts, or Media Arts in order to graduate from high school.
Students can also engage in the arts outside of the classroom by performing in school bands or choirs, theatrical or musical productions, or displaying their artwork at shows and/or galleries.
